I think Talking Harps is providing a wonderful resource to the harp world - sharing people's stories from around the world and showing how wide-spread and interconnected our harp world is, as well as highlighting, with "Harp Toolbox", useful and interesting resources!
Victoria's engaging questions and candid interviews with international harpists offers personal perspectives on a range of fascinating topics. Each conversation highlights a different and equally relevant dimension to the ever-evolving instrument and its performer.
Talking Harps has made it possible to hear from so many different harp voices and really understand them. I love the opportunity the team have created to help us all connect more. There are harpists I have been able to hear from and listen to who I would never have connected with if it weren't for Talking Harps. The team do an amazing job - thank you!!
Victoria started taking harp lessons in April of 2020 when she found herself spending a lot more time at home because of the COVID-19 pandemic. As she dove into the harp world, she discovered an amazing array of people that were all connected by the same instrument: the harp.
Through her conversations with harp lovers around the world, she came to realized that there was a lot of amazing work being done but yet to be discovered by many. This gave her the idea of creating Talking Harps with her two harp friends and fellow harp learners, Angela and Javier.
Angela thrives on making plans and removing barriers to achieve big dreams - both for herself and for those around her.
Javier loves to figure out how things work and strives to learn something new everyday. He applies this philosophy towards his life-long wish of playing the harp.
Victoria values collaborations and is invested in cultivating meaningful relationships. She is passionate about building human connections.
